To equip the participants with general knowledge about the Sustainable Development Goals and more specific on the 4th Goal - Quality Education through an interactive webinar facilitated by a representative from Fundatia Noi Orizonturi.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) is a courageous initiative developed by the United Nations aimed to shape the global policies by 2030. They are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection.
The young generation is part of these changes and must contribute through their actions to their fulfillment. Erasmus Student Network is an important actor among the youth organizations across Europe, who dedicates its efforts and shapes its strategies to support achieving these goals, through its sections and the international students they represent, in an effort of "Enrichment of society through international students".
In order to learn more about the SDGs, volunteers and both local and international students were invited to attend the webinar organized in partnership with Fundația Noi Orizonturi(FNO). The webinar was interactive and aimed to educate the participants on the SDGs and provide a better understanding of the 4th goal - Quality Education.
On behalf of FNO was present Sorana Pogăcean, coordinator of training and development programs from 2009. Sorana believes in the power of young people to change the world and works closely with educators and young people in order to make the education system a safe, open and fertile space for learning.
