The goal of the activity was to create a bond and a pleasant memory of the Easter time for those international students who had spent their Easter Holidays in Siena with the local families, the international students felt part of the families and had the opportunity to share the local traditions with their 'adoptive' families.
Some international students will be staying in Siena during the Easter holidays, away from their families and friends. ESN Siena GES has devised an initiative aimed at helping these international students staying in Siena during the Easter holidays by offering them the opportunity to have lunch or dinner in good company of the local families.
Families expressed their interest by filling out the participation form, ESN Siena GES matched families with students who have joined the initiative based on their respective language skills. Families and students share the warmth of Easter: the family welcomes the guest with an open heart, sharing their family's Christmas traditions and discovering new traditions together. Families and students create lasting memories by opening windows to the world through shared experiences.
