Goal of the Activity
This event was meant to introduce the AVIS, an association of voluntary Italian blood donors, to the international students who are staying in Pisa.
Description
We were hosted by the association in their headquarters where their president presented the association and explained the process of donating blood in Italy. The meeting ended with a small aperitif: some snacks and drinks offered by AVIS. This more relaxed part of the event was also the opportunity for some people to fill out the form needed to join the association. The following part of the event was the actual blood donation, which happened in the city hospital a couple of weeks later. As the event was free, anyone from the international students or from the ESN staff could join.
