Our goal was to make Erasmus discover the gems of our region, Peccioli, Ghizzano and Siena.
The first city of our trip was Peccioli, which is not a village suspended in time, it looks forward to the future, to sustainability, to projects shared between the Municipality and inhabitants. This is demonstrated by the contemporary art installations inserted in the urban fabric, which have made Peccioli an open-air artistic laboratory.
Then we went to Ghizzano, a hamlet of the municipality of Peccioli, where a few years ago a disposal plant was built, which has become a virtuous example for environmental sustainability and a real «cultural engine» for contemporary art and culture.
And finally we went to visit Siena, here, after the wine tasting and a lunch with local products, ESN Siena GES offered us a city tour of their beautiful city.
