Our main goal was to introduce international students to the cultural and historical heritage of the city of Mantova.
ESN Modena volunteers and international students joined a train ride, in the late morning, to the beautiful city of Mantova. Once arrived, the group headed towards local bigoleria - a restaurant specialised in bigoli, a type of pasta - to have typical lunch. The city tour itself took place in the early afternoon, with ESN Modena volunteers as guides. International students were introduced to the cultural history of Mantova and Mantovani people, while strolling through the streets and city squares. Some of the main stops were: Piazza Sordello, Castello di San Giorgio, Casa del Mantegna and Palazzo Te. The city tour ended with a typical aperitivo by one of Mantova's famous lakes.
