The main goal of this activity was to prepare and motivate outgoing students for their upcoming mobility experiences by providing them with useful information, cultural insights, and peer-to-peer advice. At the same time, the event aimed to promote ESN’s role as a key support network for international students and to encourage participation in ESN activities abroad, fostering intercultural exchange and community engagement during their time abroad.
The event was dedicated to outgoing students from the University of Turin who are preparing for their Erasmus or other mobility experiences abroad. During the session, we introduced Erasmus Student Network (ESN) and its mission, presenting the various activities and support services offered by our association to international and exchange students.
We encouraged the participants to connect with the local ESN section in the city or country where they will be spending their mobility period, highlighting the benefits of joining the ESN community abroad.
The event also featured a testimony from one of our volunteers, who shared insights from multiple international mobility experiences, offering practical advice and personal reflections on living and studying abroad.
Additionally, several countries were presented by our members, each sharing information about local culture and traditions, useful tips for newcomers, university systems, and some fun facts about life in those destinations. This interactive and engaging format allowed students to get a first-hand overview of what to expect and how to make the most of their Erasmus experience.
