The goal of this project through visits to museums and open tours is to bring the Erasmus students and the local community closer to the culture of the city and the whole country. The culture of Thessaloniki has developed throughout all the different time periods (ancient Greek, Byzantine empire, Roman period and modern history). An opportunity for everyone to get to know in depth each and every period, and forming their own opinion based on a personal experience.
For the completion of the project, we proceeded to the collection of historical information and the development of a script for the guided tours, in order to be prepared and well organised for the tours in museums. Also, an important part of the project was the sightseeing of the city, through open tours, and the visits to museums’ workshops.
