The goal of this activity is to welcome Erasmus and International students who decide to spend their mobility period here in Naples by showing them the most important monuments and thus the cultural wealth which distinguishes the historic centre of our city
The city tour starts at the Duomo of Naples, with an explanation of the myth of Parthenope, a brief description of the history of Naples and the miracle of San Gennaro, as well as the cathedral itself. The tour continues with Piazza San Domenico Maggiore and its church, Piazza del Gesù with the Church of the Gesù Nuovo and the Church of Santa Chiara. After a short walk, we reach the Maschio Angioino, with an explanation of the legend surrounding the castle. This is followed by the Galleria Umberto I with its zodiac signs depicted in the centre. The tour ends with Piazza del Plebiscito and a little game that we propose to Erasmus, which is to cross the square blindfolded and try to pass through the two equestrian statues on the other side of it
