The event aimed to introduce Erasmus students to İzmir’s rich cultural and historical heritage through an interactive scavenger hunt based around Izmir's Konak and Alsancak area. By working together in teams, students had the opportunity to bond with their peers, practice problem-solving, and engage with the local community. The friendly competition and prize incentive added excitement, ensuring an enjoyable and memorable experience for all participants.
The event started at Kemeraltı Çarşısı, where Erasmus students gathered for an engaging and interactive city exploration. Participants were divided into small groups and given a series of tasks to complete, each designed to help them discover the historical and cultural highlights of İzmir. These tasks required them to take photographic evidence of specific landmarks, unique local items, and interactions with locals. The challenge not only introduced them to the vibrant atmosphere of Izmir but also encouraged teamwork and social connections. At the end of the event, the group that completed the most tasks creatively and efficiently was awarded a small prize, making the experience both fun and rewarding.
