Goal of the Activity
The aim is to help participants discover the city’s hidden gems, including unique cafes, charming neighborhoods, and cultural landmarks that showcase local life.
Description
We gathered in Konak and the students were paired into mixed groups. Each group tried to complete the tasks that were given to them. We started from Izmir's Iconic Clock Tower, went into the traditional bazaar and Kızlarağası Hanı, tried some traditional food and met new local people.
The students were given tasks to complete around the city, and using the points system, the team that won the "challenge" earned a prize.
Examples of the tasks:
- - Visit a city landmark (5p)
- - Give a worker (staff, cleaner, barista, sales assistant, etc.) a high five and tell them ‘’Kolay Gelsin’’ (20p)
- - Singing songs on the way (10p)
- - Try to talk to a stranger (10p)
