Goal of the Activity
The goal of the activity was to help our erasmus/echange students to get to know their host city while having fun and sightseeing the beautiful monuments of the city center of Bologna
Description
The erasmus were divided in teams, each of which had some task to complete. There were some mandatory and some optional task. The winners got some discounts for our upcoming activities. The event took place in full respect of covid rules in our country.

GENERAL RULES: Hello to everyone and welcome to the city game of Bologna ! How does it work ? The game is divided in two parts: FIRST PART: 10 compulsory stages that you have to do in the right order, the more original photos will get more points, the speed will have less weight in the final of the score. End of the first part 5:30pm! SECOND PART: under the towers an ESNer will tell you the optional stages that you may do in any order you want, every stage has a different score based on the difficulty. End of the second part 7:30pm ! For every stage one of your team has to do a selfie or a video with all the team ad make an insta-story tagging @esn_bologna with #esncitygame2020 #esnbologna# (name of the team) COMPULSORY STAGES:- Find the house of a famous singer from Bologna, it’s a few step from “Piazza Maggiore”, leaving behind you the palaces of “Piazza del Nettuno” just go straight ahead for “Via d’Azeglio”; here you’ll find at the number 13 you’ll find the singer Lucio Dalla painted on a wall. Search for the ESNer make a video singing together and post it on Instagram.

Thanks to this challenge you’ll learn a new language ! Run in Piazza Maggiore. Search for the ESNer make a video repeating one of these aphorisms, and post it on Instagram:

- Now it’s time to tell a secret to you teammate, run to voltone del Podestà, under Palazzo Re Enzo. Here you’ll find ESNer, let him take you a picture and post it on Instagram.
- If you walk from Piazza della Mercanzia to Piazza Santo Stefano, look up for the head of the statue, on the right up side of the street, the one that represent a devil face. Take a selfie with the Devil of Santo Stefano and post it on Instagram.
- Now run to Corte Isolani, in Strada Maggiore, here you’ll find an ESNer that tell you about a corious legend. You’ll become actors a for a few minutes. Make a video acting the legend you just learned and post in the Ista-stories.

- Now it’s time to visit a city symbol of Bologna the two towers !
- Once upon a time Bologna was a city really similar to Venezia, full of canals, in Via Piella looking the through a small window you can discover the magic of the history.
- Do you already know that Bologna had a Jewish ghetto ? Go in Via de’ Giudei and search one of the blue hands that characterize the street of this small district.
- Via Indipendenza is one of the main street and well knows of Bologna, it’s has a secret. Go on Via Indipendenza 1 and look over your heads to see the famous Canton de’ Fiori.
- Bologna was surrounded by walls and to get in the town you had to go through 13 doors.
- In Piazza del Nettuno there is a peculiar street lamp because is turned on every time a child born here in Bologna.
- With the two towers it’s a main symbol of Bologna and also keeps one of the seven secrets.
- Not everyone knows that the Nettuno has a wife. You can find her on the stairs at the entrance of the Montagnola Park she’s a beautiful nymph driven by an horse.

- Bologna is the city of arcade. Do you know which one is the more antique ?

- The Alma Mater Studiorum is the most antique university of Europe and one of the most antique in the world. The Aula Magna is inside the church of Santa Lucia in Via Castiglione 23.
- Is the center of the Bolognese university life. What are we talking about ? We are talking about Piazza Verdi !
- When there is a nice weather there isn’t nicest things to take a walk in Giardini Margherita.
- The Montagnola park keeps more than one secret. Have you ever noticed of the big fountain of the turtles in the middle of the park ?
- In Via Dal Luzzo you can find a really particular statue that gives the name to the near street.
- Bologna is characterized by building with big internal patios.
- Behind san Petronio, in Galvani’s Place there is a statue of the famous Luigi Galvani with him frog, that let him formulate his more important theories.
- A few meter form San Petronio there is a really nice church, the San Domenico church.
- In Bologna there aren’t just the Margherita Gardens or the Montagnola. Have you ever been to the garden of San Lorenzo ?
- When the city game was started you passed by the Basilica of San Francesco. In front of this church there are the tombs of one of the most important and oldest professors of the UNIBO.
- Looking the font of one of the building that stand on piazzetta dell’ex Chiesa di San Donato in Via Zamboni you’ll notice that there is a keystone representing an animal mask with mouth open. It is said that on feast days the lords of that palace would rain wine from the wide-open mouth of the mask.
- Do you know where the Belvedere of Bologna is located? Go up to San Michele in Bosco and the Rizzoli Institute to take a selfie with the Bologna skyline as a background and post it.
- In ancient times the Voltone del Podestà was used for executions.
