The event was part of the Social Inclusion cause. The goal of the activity was to spread knowledge on Alzheimer's and the mental health of the relatives of the people affected. At the end we had a discussion in order to share our opinions and feelings about the movie. In fact, another goal was to reflect on the way society can deal with these health issues.
We went to the cinema to watch the movie "The Father" directed by Florian Zeller. The film was about a man affected by Alzheimer's who refused all assistence from his daughter. He tried to make sense of what was happening to him but he began to doubt the love of his daughter. She was very troubled by the situation which damaged even her relationship with her husband. At the end "The Father" has to be taken to a care home. The film was very moving and after watching it, we discussed the way it made us feel.
