For the international students to notice through the film the situation of women in science and to reflect about it.
We booked a space in the Youth Center of the City Hall of the city, in order to project the movie. This time we chose “Hidden Figures”, a movie about the presence of three africanamerican female scientists working for the NASA. This movie helps us reflect about the role of women in the 1970s. It was also chosen to commemorate the role of Women and Girls in Sciencie.
The movie was projected on the room and popcorn were handed out for the participants.
After the movie, we created a debate about the topic. The volunteers had previously prepared some questions to start the conversation about the theme, but the debate worked really good on its own and a lot of people shared their opinion.
