Goal of the Activity

The goal of the activity is to promote sustainability and community engagement during the festive season by encouraging the exchange of pre-loved items. By organizing a swap event, participants can reduce waste, give new life to unused items, and celebrate Christmas in an eco-friendly and meaningful way. Additionally, the activity fosters a sense of connection and sharing among participants, creating a positive and inclusive holiday atmosphere.

Description

Participants were encouraged to bring items such as clothes, books, accessories, or household goods in good condition to exchange or donate. The swap provided a chance to find thoughtful, pre-loved treasures while reducing waste and supporting a circular economy.

The majority of the donors delivered items to the ESN House throughout the days leading up to the event, ensuring a wide variety of items available for swapping.

As part of the event, a small workshop on the importance of recycling used objects was held. Participants learned about the environmental benefits of recycling, practical tips for sustainable living, and how small actions can significantly impact the fight against climate change.

The event successfully brought together local and international communities, fostering collaboration and active citizenship. It served as a reminder that sustainability can be both impactful and joyful during the holiday season.
