Goal of the Activity

The aim of the project was to engage foreign students and ESNers in understanding minorities in the local community by helping to prepare Christmas Eve for Toruń residents who are more lonely or poorer and they cannot take part a traditional christmas eve

Description

The Christmas Eve event was organized by the Scout Troop from Toruń and the city of Toruń. Anyone who cannot afford such a Christmas Eve celebration on December 24 could take part in it. Christmas Eve was prepared for 1,000 people! On December 16, we gathered at the headquarters of the Scout Troop in Toruń to help, together with the scouts, in preparations for Christmas Eve. Our task was to prepare packages - because what would Christmas be without gifts. We received gifts from over 10 sponsors that had to be arranged and packed into packages - we created a mini Santa Claus factory at the headquarters. The Christmas Eve evening took place on December 20, where students were invited as guests and helpers
