Promote Social Inclusion of the Elderly, bring joy with gifts for retired people during Christmastime.
We got in contact with a retirement home in the city (Altenpflegeheim St. Paulus) to arrange a way to bring them gifts. We received a list of possible gifts and the amounts and invited the Erasmus and other International Students to buy those gifts (that cost 2-5 euros, like chocolate, cookies, body lotion, body soap, hand cream) and bring them to office hours (if that is not possible, another time can be arranged and they are aware of that). Because of Corona, it's impossible (and would be irresponsible) to have the students bring the gifts directly to the elderly, but the gifts are going to be therefore collected from ESN Hildesheim and one person will be responsible to bring the gifts to the Retirement home on the 23rd of December so they can be distributed among the residents by an employee.
