The primary goal of hosting international students for Christmas lunch and various festive days is to foster a sense of community and inclusion within our association. Recognizing that the holiday season can be a challenging time for those far from home, our initiative aims to provide a warm and welcoming environment where international students can celebrate and share in the joy of Italian traditions. By inviting them to partake in festive meals and activities, we aspire to create lasting connections, break down cultural barriers, and offer a support network that transcends borders. Ultimately, our goal is to ensure that no student feels alone during this special time of the year, creating a sense of belonging and enriching their cultural experience in our diverse and vibrant community.
Our association orchestrated a heartwarming holiday initiative by having dedicated volunteers pair international students and local families based on shared interests and preferences. The process involved meticulous matchmaking to ensure meaningful connections. Once paired, students and families were connected and spent the festive season together. This thoughtful approach facilitated cultural exchange, fostering genuine connections and ensuring that no student felt alone during the holidays.
