Animalia! An animalistic semester concert 22/23 of the university choir Munich.
The UniversitätsChor München invites you to a wonderful evening of sounds and works all about the animal world on Monday, 20. January 2023 at 7:30 p.m., in the Great Auditorium of the LMU.
Dive into the sonic world of animals together with the UniversitätsChor München!
From classical Mendelssohnschen Lerchengesang to Whitacre's delightfully comical Animal Crackers to touching and brilliant settings of William Blake's pair of poems The Lamb and The Tyger, this semester's program of the UniversitätsChor München invites you to a sonic safari through the world of animals and animal sounds. Plenty of chirping awaits you with Le Chant des Oiseaux by Clément Janequin and Whitacre's Little Birds, but you'll also hear about panthers, silver swans and caged unicorns.
A diverse program to dream (of nature) and smile.
Works:
Unicornis Captivatur, Ola Gjeilo.
The Lamb, John Tavener
The Nightingale, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy
Little Birds, Eric Whitacre
The Tyger, Andrew Miller
and many more.
