Goal of the Activity
On the occasion of the Carnival of Venice, we decided to organize a three-day campaign based on this celebration, in order to make international students get familiar with this special festivity.
Description
The aspects in which we focused our attention were three in particular: the traditions (The Saturnalia, Carnival Days, “Carnem levare”, Confetti and the most famous Carnival celebration in Italy); the masks (Arlecchino, Pantalone, Pulcinella, Medico della Peste and Colombina); and some insights about Carnival (Volo dell'angelo, Taglio della testa del toro, fritoe and Accademia dell'arte). For each category we created some quizzes to test international students' knowledge about Carnival.
