To discuss gender discrimination and violence against women.
Local and Erasmus students from Ankara University participated in the new initiative launched by the EU Delegation to Turkey “Café Europa”. The initiative brought students from different faculties and countries studying in Ankara University with both of the Swedish Ambassador Anika Molin Hellgren and the Head of the EU Delegation to Turkey, Ambassador Christian Berger for a friendly discussion over a cup of coffee and croissants.
The main theme of the discussion was to commemorate the World's Women's Day. The Ambassadors and the students discussed topics regarding gender equality, social norms and violence against women. The discussion was organised in collaboration with ESN Ankara University and ATAUM.
Participants shared their views on different topics and discussed how to implement more equality and eliminate the obstacles that women face in their daily lives.
