To allow international people to gather together and get to know eah other as well as the volunteers of ESN Paris.
Our Language Cafe is also a good opportunity to speak different languages with people from all around the world.
It has a specific theme every week in order to promote interculturality, language exchange, inclisivity, diversity, social inclusion, solidarity, tolerence and peace.
To start off the year, the theme of the Language Cafe was "King's Cake" which is the traditional cake French people eat to celebrate Epiphany. This allows new interntaional students to discover a French typical dish and tradition while getting to talk with volunteers and other internationals.
We used reusable plates and cups in order to avoid waste, and we cut the pieces and distributed them to people who paid for them at the cashier, as it was optional.
