Goal of the Activity

Our monthly international dinners are supposed to bring people from all over the world together to explore the cuisine of another country or region. It is about socialising, culture, but also about responsible consumption and sustainability. As the events are organised by our international dinner committee, it also allows them to improve their skills and get themselves involved. Furthermore, we like to do collaborate with other cultural associations for the dinners, as this gives them the possibility to share their culture and it is important for the integration among all students in Groningen. The Bulgarian dinner was supposed to teach them more about the not so well known Bulgarian cuisine and their traditions. 

Description

The Bulgarian Society got all groceries and then we cooked together all day long. We decorated our nice venue and when the participants arrived, we began with a typical Bulgarian cold soup as a starter. Then we had our first activity, whereby everyone crafted a traditional Bulgarian bracelet. Afterwards, we had the main dish and learned some Bulgarian dances. We finished with a nice dessert.
