The goal of a brewery workshop aimed at internationals is to provide a deeper understanding of Germany's rich beer culture, which goes beyond just drinking beer. The workshop seeks to educate participants about the history, traditions, and craftsmanship that are integral to German brewing. It introduces them to the famous German beer purity law (Reinheitsgebot), regional brewing differences, and the role beer plays in social and cultural gatherings. By highlighting the art of brewing, the importance of quality ingredients, and the communal aspects of enjoying beer, the workshop fosters a greater appreciation of beer as a symbol of German heritage, craftsmanship, and community. Participants not only learn about beer but also experience how it connects people, reflects cultural values, and enhances the German way of life. Furthermore responsible drinking should be promoted due to the focus on the individual taste of different hops instead of just the consumption of beer.
In this brewery workshop, participants explored Germany's beer culture beyond just drinking. They were introduced to the Reinheitsgebot (Beer Purity Law), which defined the ingredients used in traditional German beer. Various types of hops and their unique flavors were discussed, followed by a step-by-step overview of the brewing process. The workshop concluded with a tasting session, where participants sampled different beers and experienced the craftsmanship firsthand.
