The objective of the excursion was to participate in a day of FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano) to learn to respect the environment, nature and protected species in danger of extinction.
It starts from the Bosco di San Francesco where the relationship between the Benedictine order and the environment in which it operated will be explored. It will then climb up to the Basilica of San Francesco, to conclude the route with a visit to the Abbey and the church of San Pietro by the Assisi Tourist Guide Association AGTU.
Walk along the valley of Tescio to the rediscovery of the spontaneous vegetable species of the territory, with the Prof. Aldo Ranfa and the Dott.ssa Chiara Proietti of the Department of Environmental and Civil Engineering of the University of Perugia.
Starting from the Benedictine Complex of Santa Croce, discovering the landscape recovery operated by FAI: not only history and culture but also environment and biodiversity.
