-To raise awareness about blindness.
During the “Blind Game” event the participants were asked to wear a blindfold, after which they were helped to seat at the table by a staff member. The participants were sitting in pairs one in front of the other and they played three different games, two of which blindfolded. The first game consisted of giving each couple an object and they had to figure out what it was. After that, a staff member collected them and gave a different object, and so on. After they had touched and recognized four items, they had to remember what things they were given and in which order. The second activity was to remove the blindfold and engage in a brief conversation (about 2 minutes) with the person in front of them, regarding a topic they were given through a piece of paper. After 2 minutes they had to rotate and change partner. This was done in order to have them sitting with another person to do the next activity. The last game was to draw something a staff member asked, but participants had to do it blindfolded. After they had tried to draw a few things, they had to remove the blindfold and ask the person in front of them to recognize what it was.
At the end of the activity the participant were asked to describe how they felt about being deprived of the ability to see for most of the time and to explain what they thought about having to cooperate with the person in front of them, who was also unable to see.
