The aim of the activity was to recognize animal and plants species in order to promote the biodiversity and protection of nature.
BioBlitz is a free scientific participatory initiative (citizen science) in which citizens, led by naturalist experts, are involved in a scientific activity: to get to know, search and identify as many organisms as possible: animals, plants, fungi, lichens. The initiative was organised for dissemination, education and scientific research on urban biodiversity.
During the first day, Saturday 27 April, international students looked for animals at dusk: insects, birds. On the second day, Sunday 28 April, international students looked for Plants, fungi, insects, arachnids and other invertebrates, terrestrial molluscs (snails and slugs), amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.
