The activity aimed to strengthen teamwork by having participants collaborate and compete against other teams. It also focused on enhancing knowledge transfer within our association, covering topics related to ESN Braunschweig, ESN Germany and ESN International. The primary goal was to make knowledge transfer enjoyable, as engaging challenges with immediate feedback improve retention, particularly for neurodivergent team members.
During the "Beat the President" knowledge transfer challenge, teams competed in six mini-games, each focusing on relevant topics.
The first game was based on the children's show "1, 2 oder 3," where participants had to choose between three options by standing in the corresponding field (1, 2, or 3) based on which answer they believed was correct. The questions covered topics such as the roles within ESN Braunschweig and the correct way to write ESNcard.
The second game focused on ESN Germany's geographical structure, requiring teams to draw regional boundaries on a map and identify which sections belonged to each region.
The third challenge was a "Find the Mistake" game centered on violations of the Visual Identity Manual (VIM).
In the fourth game, teams had 45 seconds to memorize abbreviations like EGM, NA, LP, WEP, AB, GA, N&U Call, VIM, and EB, and then write them down along with their full forms.
The fifth challenge was "Guess the Cause," where a partial symbol of a cause was gradually revealed until someone could identify it.
The final challenge before facing the "Final Boss" involved identifying Event IDs, where teams had to either name the event associated with the ID shown or recall the corresponding ID.
The winning team from the first round advanced to compete against our president in a quiz and two "Who Knows More" challenges. The "Who Knows More" challenges focused on our Welcome Week events and the country associated with the WEP, while the quiz included questions about our national board, the name of our mascot, the country with the most ESN sections, the location of the next NA, the number of sections in ESN Germany, and more.
