Creating collecting points of plastic, glass and fish nets. Creating a human chain to move the full bags at the end from the beach to the pedestrian crossing zone.
On the 24th of January 2021 ESN Bari with RETAKE Bari removed more than 330 kilograms of trash, especially plastic and fish nets from Pane e Pomodoro Beach. The event has been organized by Retake, a non-profit movement that aims to eliminate different forms of vandalism in our local community. Thanks to the participation of about 40 volunteers from different ages and background, willing to clean the seacoast with a strong cooperation spirit, we had a great success. Some Erasmus students from Georgia and France took part to the event, implementing their team building spirit and their sense of active citizenship.
