Goal of the Activity
The Ocean Initiatives Surfrider Foundation gives NGOs the support and equipment to organise beach clean-ups around Europe. We requested this equipment in order to carry out a litter clean-up in our Barceloneta beach together with volunteers, international students and the local community. The aim was to not only clean the litter itself, but also to raise awareness on the importance of keeping our beaches and oceans clean.
Description
We all love the beach, and many people choose Barcelona as their Erasmus destination for its sea. However, it is our responsibility to keep the beaches clean and healthy. For this, we carried out a small clean-up in order to raise awareness on this issue.
