The goal of the activity is to make young people aware of the protection of the environment, through a day of cleaning the beach of the Ringo in Messina.
On the occasion of the “ONU World Environment Day”, tempostretto (https://www.tempostretto.it) has organized city and beach clean-ups in Messina.
Several associations or groups participated in the cleaning of this city and beach in Messina. Everyone was in charge of taking a piece of the city to be cleaned and we at ESN Messina was entrusted with the area of the beach of Ringo. Here, international students and ESN members were equipped with gloves and recycling bags, and they spent all morning taking care of this little piece of nature.
At the end of the morning, when all kinds of waste were collected, we left the garbage bags on a part of the beach and afterwards who of duty, would come to pick it up.
It was certainly a great opportunity to take care of the environment around us, in a time of fun and knowledge between Erasmus, Coordinators and local people.
