The goal of this activity was to raise awareness on gender equality, fostering solidarity and empowerment among international students and encouraging an active participation. By creating banners and joining local feminist demonstrations, the participants not only expressed their support for women's rights but also connected with the broader community of activists in their Erasmus city. The workshop served as a creative and collective space where individuals could come together, share their experiences, and amplify their voices in the fight for equality and social justice.
To celebrate International Women's Day, international students in Palma were invited to participate in a Banner-Making Workshop. On the afternoon of March 8th, two local feminist organizations in Palma organized separate demonstrations in the city center. Two hours before the events began, we gathered to craft the banners we would later raise in solidarity. Afterward, we joined other international students, marching together to stand up for our rights.
