Goal of the Activity
The main goal of the activity was to discover the arts,crafts and history of Sardinia and to talk about it using the Sardinian Language, translating it into Italian and English in order to let all the participants understand everything.
Description
The activity is an activity based on a three day experience
- 7th of november (Mamoiada) We went to the museum of the mediterranean masks where we discovered some history and curiosities about the traditional carnival masks of Mamoiada (Mamuthones and Issohadores) some other sardinian villages as Ottana and other European Nations. After that we went to the Sedilesu's cellar to take a tour and a wine tasting of two wines accompained with cured cheese, ham, sausage and traditional sardinian bread(pane carasau) we visited the laboratory of a craftman that makes the traditional masks and after that we went visiting "Sa perda pinta' " a menhir dating back to about 3500 b.C.
- 14th of november (Silanus and Nuoro) During our way to Nuoro we stopped in Silanus to see the Nuraghe (Pre-historical sardinian building) and the romanic church of Saint Sabina, in both places the professor told us something about the history and the building techiques of the two edifices. Durig the trip in the city of Nuoro we went to the etnographic museum in which it is possible to discover all the history and traditions of Sardinia and after that we went to the house-museum of Grazia Deledda (the second european woman who won the Nobel prize)
- 28th of november (Nuoro) During the last day we went to Nuoro and in the city hall we had the final conference in which we explained in fornt of the Councillor for Culture, the feelings and what we learned during the three days trip. The conference had been taken by Bruno the Professor, Gaetano (from the NGO Club Studentesco Minerva) Stefano Pani( ESN Sassari) and Antonine (Erasmus Student).During the afternoon we visited the "cortes de Grassia" temporary shops or museums located through the Nuoro's city centre.
The professor spoke in sardinian,Gaetano(Club Studentesco Minerva) and Stefano (ESN Sassari) translated into italian and english
The fee has to be considered as a daily fee € 10,00 each day,
