The goal of the activity is to raise awareness about the violence and discrimination faced by transgender people while creating a safe and inclusive space for reflection, solidarity, and artistic expression. The event aims to encourage empathy, promote human rights, and inspire students to stand against all forms of transphobia through creativity and dialogue.
Art Against Silence is a creative workshop organized for the Transgender Day of Remembrance, where students use art as a tool to reflect on the experiences of transgender individuals and commemorate the lives lost to transphobic violence.
During the activity, participants express their thoughts and emotions through various artistic mediums—such as drawing, collage, writing, or painting—guided by themes of identity, resilience, and remembrance.
The event fosters open discussion, encourages participants to listen to marginalized voices, and strengthens the ESN commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and respectful coexistence within the international student community.
