Enjoy a fun and engaging archery experience in Camerino!
On a rainy Monday afternoon, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM, a group of Erasmus students gathered at the CUS Camerino gym for an exciting introduction to archery. The instructor, assisted by experienced archers, welcomed them and began by explaining the structure of a bow, providing essential safety guidelines and basic techniques.
Before shooting, the students engaged in a warm-up session led by the instructor, focusing on shoulders, back, elbows, and wrists to prevent injuries. They were then equipped with the necessary gear, including a quiver, arm guard, and finger tab.
Three or four students at a time took turns shooting their first round of six arrows, each guided by either the instructor or an experienced archer. As the session progressed, they refined their technique and improved their skills, enjoying the challenge of becoming better archers.
At the end of the lesson, they were introduced to different types of bows. While they had practiced with the "barebow," they also learned about the common bow, Olympic bow, and traditional bow. Experienced archers demonstrated these different styles, adding to the excitement.
The event concluded with a group photo, capturing smiles and enthusiasm. The students, grateful for the experience, left with newfound appreciation for archery and the joy of trying something new together!
