To raise awareness about the sexually trasmitted infections as HIV and the way to prevent them
We partecipated, together with Movimento Pansessuale Arcigay Siena and two other local organizations, to a day organized to raise awareness about sexually trasmitted infections as HIV and the way to prevent them. The event was organized in the occasion of the Social Impact Days of 2021, a ESN international campaign that had as main goal the organization and discussion of activities that could have an impact on the society.
The activity comprised free HIV tests, performed by doctors from the hospital of Siena, and different activities to talk about infections and prevention. The staff of ESN Siena GES prepared a quiz about HIV and sexually trasmitted infections, that both international students and locals could complete to test their own knowledge about these themes. Other games and info materials were prepared, together with the National Association of Medical Students and the National Association of Odontoiatric Students.
The event was a success, as it gave the possibility to international students to integrate in the local community, and to all partecipants to have a free HIV test and learn something new about sexually transmitted infections.
