Goal of the Activity

Our goal was to encourage international and local students to reflect on their eating habits, emphasizing key concepts such as nutrition, sustainability, and food systems. We aimed to broaden their understanding of global issues, supported by the contributions of the Minister of Agriculture of El Salvador and experts in Italian agriculture.

Description

As part of the World Food Forum 2024, the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) hosted the event "Agri-Innovation Action: Impacts of Sustainable Nutrition on Young People", an opportunity to explore the critical role of youth in driving sustainable agri-food systems.

The event featured the participation of delegates from the government of El Salvador, including representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, who shared innovative experiences and initiatives in the field of sustainable bioeconomy and nutrition. ACLI Terra Nazionale contributed to the discussion with an Italian perspective on sustainable agricultural practices and support for rural communities, while representatives from the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti (LND) highlighted the synergy between sports, health, and nutrition.

This event not only served as a vital platform for global exchange but also allowed the ESN Roma Tre section to shine within the national network, earning us the recognition of number one in the "Section in the Spotlight" by ESN Italy. This award reflects our commitment to promoting sustainability, inclusion, and international collaboration.
