Living in Abruzzo Region in Italy means that you have the opportunity to experience both the Adriatic Sea and the Appennini Mountains and basically, one of the goal of the "Abruzzo Trip" was to ride from the sea to the mountains and show the beautiful capital city of our region L'Aquila and Rocca Calascio, one of the 15th most beautiful castles in the entire World according to National geographic.
We decided to organise this event for the day October 23rd, 2022. We went by bus from Pescara to L'Aquila where we were hosted by ESN L'Aquila for a city tour. Afterwards, we had our packed lunch in the beautiful park next to Basilica di Collemaggio. Then, we made our way to Rocca Calascio where we had the chance to watch the sunset from 1460m.
Since taking pictures is definitely a way to have permanent instants of something we lived at the moment of the photo, we decided to organise a photo contest where all the participants where invited to capture the most beautiful picture during the entire Abruzzo Trip's day.
In the evening we returned to Pescara and we gave to each participant one postcard as a small souvenir.
