The goal was for our volunteers to spend the weekend with ESN Mostar, working on our communication and teamwork skills, as well as visiting Mostar's beautiful landmarks and the town of Počitej.
On Friday afternoon, we arrived by car at our first location, the Kravica waterfall near Ljubuški in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition to sightseeing, we divided into groups within which we designed new ESN sections and solved interesting tasks that accompanied us in other locations we visited during the Local Training. After that we headed towards Mostar. Upon arrival, we settled into our apartments in a villa near the city center and went to a nearby restaurant for dinner. We spent the evening having fun in the city, in the night club or in the apartments, and we had the opportunity to get to know each other better.
The next day we went to visit the small town of Počitelj. The day was extremely sunny and warm, and we used our free time to climb the fortress and drink coffee. In the afternoon we went to The University of Mostar and held our workshops; The Icebreaker, How to deal with stress and Communication skills - with our colleagues from ESN Mostar. We ended the day having fun at the club near our accommodation.
On Sunday, the morning was spent resting, having breakfast and packing. After that, we walked through the very core of the city of Mostar and had free time for lunch, coffee, sightseeing and buying souvenirs before returning. Also, during the day, we wrote messages to each other, which we put in envelopes with names raised in the courtyard of our villa. In the messages, we wrote some positive characteristics of each person, something we liked or something we will especially remember about that person. We returned to Split in the evening, happily recounting our impressions.
