Learn more about photography with an award-winning photographer!
Do you want to learn how to take amazing photos of all the beautiful Norwegian landscapes? Join ESN Trondheim for a 3-day step-by-step course, and impress your friends with your new photography skills!
The courses will be held by Vangelis Kalos, an internationally awarded photographer based in Trondheim. Vangelis began his photography career through a course like this while he himself was an Erasmus student! Now he wants to bring the tradition on, and teach new Erasmus students about the joys of photography! His work has been exhibited at Akron Gallery (Bakklandet, Trondheim).
The course will be delivered over three days/classes in February and March 2025, as outlined below:
1st Day/Class - 25th of February, at 17:30-19:00
- Introduction to basic and advanced photography composition.
- Learning from examples and the Masters of photography.
2nd Day/Class - 4th of March, at 17:30-19:00
- Using the camera's automatic settings.
- Mastering manual settings for different effects.
- Exploring films, lenses, filters, and more.
3rd Day/Class - 11th of March, at 17:30-19:00
- Answering questions from the previous sessions.
- Practical session outdoors (weather permitting) or/and a visit to a photography gallery for further inspiration.
- Review of students' photographs with feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Practical Information:
Owning a camera with a manual (M) setting is recommended but not required.
Alternatively, you can use a mobile phone with a manual settings app (you will learn to take amazing pics with your phone as well :)
One camera will also be available to use during the classes.
