Goal of the Activity

Our goal in this event has to introduce a traditional student event to international students, as well as propoting ESN to local students.

In addition, this event is a race where the energy powering the car comes from students pushing it. It is a sporty event accessible to most of people, indeed, it is a long long race where regularity is better than speed.

Description

This event is a part of the student culture in Nancy. It is the biggest student event in North-East France with around 40000 spectators for each edition, 21 teams and 4000 student pushing for their teams.

Many faculties and schools participate every 2 years through their student union. This year, ESN Nancy and the Young European Federalist Lorraine gathered to form a team.

After modifying a car (to remove all heavy parts, including engine) and decorating it (we choose to create an european flag themed car), our volunteers and international students will push the car during 24 hours around a squar. The goal is to complete as many laps as possible during those 24 hours.

All teams must follow strict security rules in order to prevent any incident.

In parallel to the race, a concert is held with local bands performing and other animations to entertain everybody.
