**Aim:** To inform the university community and Erasmus students about the upcoming European elections, as well as to raise awareness of the power of youth in shaping the European landscape and making decisions regarding changes in areas that concern young people (such as the Erasmus+ program, funding, environment, etc.).
**Objectives:**
- Understanding the concept of Active Citizenship
- Finding the connection between volunteering, Erasmus+ programs, and Active Citizenship
- Understanding why youth do or do not exercise certain political rights
- Gaining an understanding of the importance of advocacy
- Reflecting on the barriers to being an active citizen
- Brainstorming ways to increase youth participation statistics.
This event lasted two days. On the first day, there were speeches about the elections from selected representatives from the Council of Europe, Europe Direct of Epirus & Youth Center of Epirus, along with the exclusive screening of the election spot. Following this, attendees asked questions to the speakers during an open space session.
On the second day, workshops were held on themes related to active citizenship, advocacy, and the impact of the Erasmus+ program on the development of active citizens.
