Goal of the Activity
The goal of World AIDS Day is to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, commemorate those who have lost their lives to the disease, show support for those living with HIV, and promote efforts to prevent and treat HIV/AIDS globally.
Description
We went around Kaunas, gave out flyers and condoms to younger people. The reactions were mixed, but mostly appreciating. Spreading awareness about AIDS helps prevent new infections, reduces stigma, encourages early detection and treatment, fosters support for affected individuals, promotes global solidarity, directs resources to research and healthcare, and advocates for policies to address the epidemic.
By organising this activity, the organisers want to contribute to the following Sustainable Development Goals
