The goal of the First Aid Workshop is to empower participants with essential knowledge and practical skills to effectively respond to emergency situations. Through hands-on training led by a specialized volunteer, participants will learn key techniques, including CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), the Heimlich maneuver, addressing nosebleeds, and providing immediate assistance for common injuries such as twisted ankles and hands. The primary objective is to equip attendees with the confidence and ability to take prompt and effective action, potentially saving lives and promoting overall well-being in emergency scenarios.
The thought of what to do or how to administer first aid when something unexpected happens to someone near us has crossed our minds at least once. It is crucial to know how to react and which measures to take in emergency cases, and it is even more important to know that you have saved the health or even the life of that person.
If you are curious about learning these methods, we invite you to our workshop. It will be conducted by one of our volunteers who is specialized in delivering these techniques, and you will have the chance to practice them yourself.
You will learn:
How to perform the CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) method on a mannequin dedicated to it
How to execute the Heimlich maneuver with a special vest
What to do in the case of nose bleeding
What to do until the paramedics arrive in case you twist your ankle/hand
How to correctly tie bandages
