Raise awareness on the issue of gender-based violence and trigger reflection on how much each of us in our own small way can do to combat this phenomenon. Also, to inform citizens and Erasmus students on how to prevent it and what to do if you find yourself in such a situation.
The event consisted of two parts, or three if we want to consider the preliminary work of some members who met to prepare the basic material. The first part took place inside a venue and consisted of writing a thought, a line from a song or an excerpt of poetry on red cards with the national anti-violence number and the name of an Instagram page on the back, which has a video call service whenever someone is walking down the street alone and does not feel safe. In the meantime, we discussed the topic informally and talked a lot, raising awareness of the issue. During the second part of the event, however, Simo went to the two main streets in the city centre and tied the cards we had made earlier to benches, light poles and the like, providing people who passed by and looked at us curiously with all the information we had.
