On the 5th december, the Volunteer International Day is celebrated. ESN Porto, as an association functioning with the work of thousands and thousands of volunteers, we can't let this date go unnoticed. For this reason, we need everyone's contribution! Both exchange students and ESNers are officially invited to participate in our "What is it to be a Volunteer?" video. We will ask you to be filmed answering a few questions about your opinion on volunteering projects and about volunteers' experiences, skills and value. After that, we will make a single video with all your exceptional contributions! You may even get famous after that! Who knows...
For the past two weeks, during which we celebrated the Social Inclusion Days Fall 2019, we asked many exchange students and ESNers to talk a little bit about their opinion on volunteering activities and projects, about the volunteers' skills and about the impact volunteering has on people and the community. Our aim was to promote awareness among people of all the good things and skills volunteering allows you to develop, but also to value the effort and dedication of the volunteers from the whole world. We believe this mission was well accomplished in the sense that most of the exchange students loved the initiative and showed interest in participating.
