The Welcome Day for Erasmus students at the University of Camerino (UNICAM) serves as an essential introduction to academic and social life in Italy. The primary goal of the event is to ensure that international students feel welcomed, supported, and prepared for their new academic journey. By providing key information about university services, academic programs, housing, and student life, the Welcome Day aims to ease the transition into a new educational environment. Then, in addition to practical guidance, the event fosters intercultural exchange and community building. Students have the opportunity to meet peers from different countries, as well as faculty members and administrative staff. This helps establish important connections and encourages a sense of belonging from the outset. Cultural presentations, campus tours, and informal gatherings during the day further enhance students’ understanding of Italian culture and UNICAM’s academic values. The Welcome Day is designed to promote integration, reduce anxiety, and empower Erasmus students to make the most of their international experience. It reflects UNICAM’s commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all students, laying a strong foundation for academic success and cultural enrichment.
The Welcome Day for Erasmus students at the University of Camerino (UNICAM) was a memorable and enriching experience designed to help international students settle into their new academic and cultural environment. The event aimed to introduce students to the university’s services, academic opportunities, and the vibrant student community. It began with a warm greeting from university staff and professors, followed by presentations on UNICAM’s programs, facilities, and support systems for Erasmus students. These sessions provided essential information and practical tips for adapting to life in Camerino. In addition to the informative part of the day, there were opportunities for students to meet one another, exchange experiences, and begin forming new friendships. A guided campus tour helped everyone become familiar with the surroundings and feel more at home. The atmosphere was welcoming, open, and international. The highlight of the day was the group dinner at “Torre del Parco,” a beautiful and historic location that offered a perfect setting for socializing and relaxing after a full day. Students traveled to the venue together using the “Linea Blu” bus, which added a fun and communal aspect to the experience. The Welcome Day successfully combined practical orientation with cultural immersion, making it a great start to the Erasmus journey at UNICAM.
