Goal of the Activity

To walk dogs from the local shelter. Also to donate money to the shelter.

Description

As a part of our Welcome week for international students, we organized a one day trip by public transport to the local dog shelter in Zlín, where we took 5 to 10 dogs for a walk in the forest. Bus ride took us about 15 minutes and then we walked for another 10 minutes to the shelter. We believed, that this activity was not only for physical and mental health, but it raised the awareness of this increasing amount of animals left in shelters. As a part of this activity we always gave shelter money, that we collected through selling our cutlery, plates, mugs and other kitchen stuff to the international students. Not only that we supported sustainability, but we believed that this money would help the shelter to take care of dogs, cats and other animals there.
