The goal of the activity was to spend the morning taking a walk along the coast of Alicante while cleaning up the trash found on the way.
We arrived by public transport to Cabo de las Huertas, there we gave gloves for protection and big trash bags made out of recicled plastic were shared. By groups we covered a natural park next to the coast and we started walking along it until San Juan beach (around 3 km) while picking up trash, most of it small pieces of plastic. We stopped to enjoy a self-made picnic and relax in the middle of the way to finally end up in a sand beach at the very end of the place.
We collected 7,4 kg of trash and half of a bottle of cigarette butts. The international students got to know how important is not to throw plastic and cigarette ends to the nature because they all end up at the sea.
Also we enjoyed a nice morning doing some exercise and taking a final bath on the beach.
