Volunteering Promotion Worshop

During ESN France National Platform, a workshop was dedicated to discuss about "International student's commitment and volunteering : what benefits for their mobility ?"Volunteers had the opportunity to reflect on their engagement, the discussion aiming at identifying the reasons why it is in the interests of international students to get involved and volunteer during their mobility. It was also the opportunity to reflect on obstacles and challenges faced by students when trying to engage in volunteering (economic barriers, lack of time, motivation...), while showcasing the benefits for the community (intercultural exchanges, sharing of best practices...)
In conclusion, this workshop was the occasion to engage in a comprehensive reflection about volunteering (at home and abroad) and to provide participants with concrete tools and idea to encourage international student to volunteer.
