This event belongs primarily to the Skills and Employability cause because it involves the development of knowledge and skills through visits to the laboratories of the JRC. Established in 1960 as a nuclear research site, today it is considered as one of Europe's leading research campuses with many laboratories and unique research infrastructures. Initially it was cretaed to study nuclear energy, now it houses innovative laboratories to study water, climate, solar energy and the management of emergencies. There are a number of laboratories studying the dynamics of
climate change and new tools to combat it.
For those studying in this field, as well as the more curious, it can be an opportunity to improve their knowledge, stimulate them to work in a
European environment and increase the chances of finding a job once completed their studies.
On Wednesady 30th October we had a special day trip to Lake Maggiore to visit the Joint Research Centre in Ispra. It's the third biggest European Commission site after Brussels and Luxembourg.

- 🔬 Visit to JRC center
- 🥪 Sandwich lunch
- 🏞️ Free time to visit this beautiful city near the Lake!
